Pinnacle Vista and Ranch Gate Trails Projects
Project Overview
As part of the city’s effort to create a well-connected active transportation system for people of all ages and abilities, the Transportation and Streets Department is planning to construct the Pinnacle Vista and Ranch Gate trails. These two projects would close gaps in the system and enable pedestrians, bicyclists and horseback riders to travel farther more safely and comfortably.
The Pinnacle Vista Trail will be constructed on the north side of Pinnacle Vista Drive from 56th Street to 62nd Street. Per city ordinance, the Preserve HOA will be responsible for maintaining the vegetation along the trail (see Scottsdale Municode Section 47-47, Right-of-way maintenance).
The Ranch Gate Trail will be constructed on the south side of Ranch Gate Road from approximately ¼ mile east of 118th Street to 128th Street. Per city ordinance, landowners adjacent to the trail will be responsible for maintaining the vegetation along the trail (see Scottsdale Municode Section 47-47, Right-of-way maintenance).
The two projects are funded by Scottsdale’s Transportation Sales Tax, and the construction process is expected to have minimal impact on the neighborhoods.
