Indian School Road Pavement Preservation
Project Information
As part of Scottsdale’s annual pavement maintenance program, the city will be improving Indian School Road from 60th Street to Scottsdale Road. As roadways deteriorate, the possibility of potholes, cracks and other roadway imperfections that affect driving increases. Scottsdale’s pavement maintenance program helps ensure smoother, safer driving conditions. The project includes removing, or “milling,” the old pavement and then resurfacing, or “overlaying,” the road with new pavement and striping. Utility access must also be adjusted before and after the paving project.
All work will be completed between 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. except for one shift of weekday milling (asphalt removal). The weekday shift of milling will be completed from 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, when traffic volumes are lower and work conditions are safer. Indian School Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction during project work hours. Signs will be posted indicating business access points.
