Scottsdale Airport restaurant opens Jan. 16

After two years without a restaurant, the new Zulu Caffe at Scottsdale Airport will churn out sweet smells beginning next week.

A grand opening and ribbon-cutting will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16. The new restaurant is located inside the Scottsdale Airport terminal (15000 N. Airport Drive) and features great views of the airfield so guests can watch airplanes take off and land while they enjoy their food.

“I am very pleased that Zulu Caffe will be providing a first-rate restaurant and catering service at Scottsdale Airport,” said Scottsdale Mayor W.J. “Jim” Lane. “Their commitment to quality and refinement is a perfect fit for Scottsdale, and they will be a wonderful addition to the Scottsdale Airport.”

Zulu Caffe will feature an imaginative line of wood fired pizzas and flatbreads along with an expansive selection of distinctive southwest dishes, paninis, salads, appetizers and desserts. The menu changes daily and features fresh local ingredients. Zulu Caffe will be open seven days per week, featuring breakfast, lunch and happy hour Monday – Friday, breakfast and lunch Saturday, and brunch on Sunday.

“We’re thrilled Mayor Lane has agreed to join our grand opening celebration at Zulu Caffe,” Dee Dee Maza, co-owner of Zulu Caffe said.  “Our dream of bringing our restaurant to the Scottsdale Airport was made possible through the cooperation of the City of Scottsdale and its civic leaders. We are excited to be a part of the Scottsdale community and look forward to welcoming everyone into our new venue."
