Payment Methods

There are several options available to pay your City of Scottsdale utility bill.

We do not accept phone payments. Below are available options to pay your City of Scottsdale utility bill.

Credit Card 
As of September 1st, 2010, Scottsdale no longer accepts credit cards to pay city utility bills except in person at the Customer Service counter, One Civic Center Building, 7447 E. Indian School Road, Suite 110.

Automatic withdraw from checking or savings account

To sign up for our automatic debit payment option you will need to choose and complete one of the two options below.


Option 1: Online 

The site does offer several other convenient options for making a payment:

  • Ability to pay your bill from any checking, savings or money market account (United States based bank accounts only)
  • Ability to save your checking, saving or money market account information so you don't have to reenter it each month
  • Ability to schedule payments for dates in the future
  • Ability to have the system automatically pay your bill when it's due each month
Customers can easily sign up by going to the site with their utility account number and their pin or house number.

Option 2: SurePay

Monthly Surepay [Fillable Form] (pdf/154kb/1p) :To sign up for our automatic debit payment option please complete the form; print and mail or fax this form to the location/number provided on the document. You will be authorizing the City of Scottsdale to electronically withdraw the amount of your monthly utility bill from your checking or savings account. 

You will need to continue to pay your utility bill until you see "DO NOT PAY" on your monthly statement. 

You will only need to choose one of the two above options to complete your automatic withdraw for payment of your monthly utility bill.

* Important Information When Paying by Check

 

When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use the information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction.

 

When we use information from your check to make an electronic funds transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day we receive your payment and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution.
