Diversity Training
City of Scottsdale employees are encouraged to attend a three-day (half days) interactive training workshop designed to educate employees on the topic of diversity, beginning with identification of their own personality preferences; introduction of the various layers of diversity, assumptions, and cross cultural communication styles; and introduction of the various stages of cultural competence. This workshop is a prerequisite for graduation from the Scottsdale Management Development Series.

Part I - Defining diversity, dimensions of diversity, and understanding personality preferences.
Part II - Understanding the power of assumptions and defining culture, cultural programming, and identity development.
