Scottsdale’s Hospitality Trolley rides again

The Scottsdale “Hospitality Trolley” offers free rides to visitors and residents in town for the college football bowl games, peak event season, great shopping or just for fun through March.

For 98 days of the city’s peak visitor season, riders can enjoy being shuttled from the Fairmount Scottsdale Princess to Scottsdale Stadium and many places in between.  This free service links visitors and residents from the city’s major resorts to Downtown Scottsdale, shopping and event centers such as Scottsdale Stadium, Scottsdale Quarter and the Tournament Players Club golf course.

Scottsdale’s “Hospitality Trolley” will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, beginning Dec. 26 through March.  Service hours will be extended on New Year’s Eve until 3 a.m. on New Year’s Day.  This year the trolley has added these improvements:

• More frequent, 30-minute service,
• Shuttle service to major events at WestWorld and Tournament Players Club from Princess
• Front door stops for four sponsoring resorts
• Transfers to other trolley routes including:  SRPMIC Talking Stick Trolley, Paradise Valley Resort Trolley and the Scottsdale Downtown Trolley route

With these improvements, city official are hoping to boost ridership numbers during this second year of operation.

This year the city is starting service earlier to accommodate visitors in town for college football games, including the Fiesta Bowl, which will be played Monday, Jan. 2.
