Scottsdale seeks to fill board and commission vacancies
The City of Scottsdale is accepting applications to fill vacancies on six advisory bodies: the Building Advisory Board of Appeals, Development Review Board, Human Relations Commission, Industrial Development Authority, Loss Trust Fund Board and the Parks and Recreation Commission.
The city is recruiting Scottsdale residents to fill three-year terms on each advisory body. Applications are due Feb. 28. The City Council will nominate from the pool of applicants on March 6; appointees will be selected after those nominees are interviewed at the March 20 City Council meeting.
Applications and more information about the role of each of these advisory boards and commissions are available online at www.scottsdaleaz.gov/boards or by calling the City Clerk’s Office at (480) 312-2412. Applications may also be picked up at Scottsdale City Hall (3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd).
More than 200 Scottsdale residents serve on the city’s boards and commissions, providing thousands of hours of volunteer service to the city each year.
