Airplane goes down during touch and go maneuver

Update:
One of the occupants of the aircraft in today’s incident was Scottsdale City Councilman Robert “Bob” Littlefield, who is a flight instructor. He was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn with non-life threatening injuries, and was admitted to the hospital in good condition. The other individual involved in this incident was treated for minor injuries and released.
There is a fire station at the Scottsdale airpark and it immediately responded to the incident. The staff is specifically trained to deal with plane incidents.
Airplane goes down during touch and go maneuver
A small single-engine aircraft slid off the runway during a touch and go maneuver at Scottsdale Airport around 9:30 a.m. today.
Two people were on board and suffered minor injuries. They have been transported to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn.
The runway is closed until further notice as the investigation continues.
