On Monday at 4:00 PM SPD was responding to an alarm at the Sun Drugs Pharmacy located at 10810 E. Via Linda when officers encountered an armed suspect exiting the store. A foot chase ensued and the suspect attempted to discard a handgun which was recovered after he was taken into custody.
A second suspect was witnessed leaving northbound on foot and was later found nearby and also taken into custody.
The victim related that the two suspects entered with their faces covered by cloth, displaying a handgun. One of the suspects bound the victim’s hands then took narcotics and cash from the register.
Both suspects were booked on counts of Armed Robbery and Kidnapping. |
