Details:

On 03/30/12 at 8:30 p.m. SPD was called to a home in the 7800 block of E. Gold Dust in reference to an individual who had entered the victim’s home and assaulted the victim.

The victim stated that as he was in his bedroom sleeping he was woke up by the suspect demanding cash. The victim got out of bed and was struck on the head with a vase. The suspect then grabbed a chair and struck the victim on the arm and fled from the residence. No property was missing. There were no signs of forced entry as some of the doors to the residence were not locked. Investigation is continuing.

The victim was transported to SHC Shea to be treated for his injuries.
