Details: At this date and time, SPD was notified by the security officers at Scottsdale Fashion Square that they had discovered a person in a car who appeared to be deceased. Security told police that the car had been parked in the blue parking garage for many days. They inspected the car closer this morning and found the deceased person inside, in the back seat. SPD officers made entry into the car and confirmed the person was deceased. There were no apparent signs of how the person died.

A records check of the vehicle indicated that it was reported by Chandler PD as belonging to a "Missing/Suicidal" person. Chandler PD was notified and responded to assist our detectives with the identification of the victim and subsequent investigation.

Cause and manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.
