Horse Desensitization Clinic

Saddle up with the Scottsdale Police Mounted Unit!

 

SCOTTSDALE MOUNTED POLICE SPONSOR TRAINING CLINIC

All proceeds to benefit the 100 CLUB OF ARIZONA


The public is invited to register for this Horse Desensitization Clinic sponsored by the Scottsdale Police Department’s Mounted Unit at WestWorld of Scottsdale on Saturday, May 19th. The three-hour class is intended to teach horses and riders to become more self confident and trusting of one another, as horses will be put through a series of tests to desensitize horses to a variety of obstacles. Officers of the Scottsdale Mounted Unit will combine their 45 years of experience to teach two, three-hour classes on Saturday, May 19. Registration is $100. The first class begins at 8:00 a.m., with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. The second class will begin at 1:30 p.m., with registration at 1:00 p.m. Classes are limited to 15 registrants per session, and participants must be 18 and up. All riders are required to bring their own helmet. A helmet is MANDATORY to begin the session.
