On 06/09/12 at 1:45 pm SPD was called to the Gainey Cleaners ant 8989 N. Scottsdale Road in reference to a robbery. The suspect entered the cleaners and gave the clerk a note, demanding money. The clerk gave an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left in a white SUV southbound on Scottsdale Road. Officers in the area spotted the vehicle and conducted a stop near Scottsdale and Chaparral Roads. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and had the cash from the crime in his possession. He was booked on one count of robbery.
