On 03/10/12 at 1:15 a.m. SPD was called to the parking lot of Chasers Nightclub at 8005 E. Roosevelt Road due to a shooting.
The incident began as a verbal altercation between family members inside of the club and was carried out into the parking lot where the suspect, Jahnkay Summons DOB 08/12/79, displayed a handgun and shot at his 32-year-old brother but missed. The bullet however, grazed his 28-year-old cousin in the head. The victim was transported to SHC Osborn where he was treated and released, refusing to aid in the investigation.
The suspect was booked on Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Endangerment, Theft/Control of Stolen Property (the gun was determined to be stolen), four separate Weapons Misconduct charges including a Shannon’s Law violation, Criminal Damage, and four separate Drug charges.
