If your computer has a wireless card, you can get free wireless access to the city's website - and other community sites - by using the following services:
Scottsdale Public Libraries
Scottsdale's libraries offer free, filtered Internet access. More details at http://www.scottsdalelibrary.org/libraryservices/wifi.cfm.
Please note that individual businesses may also offer wireless access. The services listed above are available in public facilities or through a city license for wireless services covering larger areas.
Free Wireless Access at One Civic Center: FREE1CIVIC
Scottsdale's One Civic Center building, located at 7447 E. Indian School Rd., now has free wireless access. Customers, residents and others who frequently visit this municipal building are now able to use this free service to surf the internet, connect to a virtual private network (VPN) or access a POP or other non-web email account.
Users looking to access the internet using Wi-Fi need to:
- use a computer equipped with a functioning wireless card (std. 802.11b)
- have DHCP enabled.
