Construction Information

Construction Project Hotline (623)889-7628

Construction work started in August 2012.  The project in its entirety will take about 28 months to construct.

Phase 1 of the project is located south of Cactus Road and is scheduled to take 14 months to complete.  After the completion of Phase 1, Phase 2 will begin and is scheduled to take 14 months to complete. Please see the map for more detailed information.

A temporary construction office has been set up on the southeast corner of Larkspur Drive and 96th Street.  The office will house the contractor CS Construction, for the duration of the project.

Construction work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.  One lane of traffic in each direction will be kept open with a few isolated exceptions. Traffic detours will be provided when a street or intersection is closed.  Access to homes will be maintained at all times.

Tentative Construction Schedule

Construction is ongoing along the 92nd Street portion of the project and will continue through summer 2013. Construction work on 92nd Street includes the construction of pipes at the intersection of Cholla and 92nd Streets and box culverts north of Cholla Street but south of Poinsettia Drive. During this time period traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction and will be shifted to either the west or the east side of 92nd Street depending upon which side of 92nd Street construction is underway.

Construction along Cholla Street, west of 92nd Street, is ongoing and is expected to be completed in summer 2013. During this time detour signs will be provided for alternate routes.

Upon completion of the project along 92nd Street, construction will occur along the main channel – between 92nd Street and Cactus Road. Phase 1 of the project is expected to be completed in September/October 2013.

Thank you in advance for your patience during construction.  We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause.
