Scottsdale tourism continues its strong national presence
Scottsdale enjoyed a banner winter tourism season and that momentum continues. Two national magazines -- the Robb Report and Condé Nast Traveler -- feature local hotel properties on their May covers.
Scottsdale placed first in hotel occupancy among the top 25 U.S. markets in March, according to Smith Travel Research.
March’s occupancy in Scottsdale/Paradise Valley was 88 percent, a 2.2 percent increase over March 2011. Year-to-date, Scottsdale’s occupancy rate is up 1.6 percent to 76.6 percent.
Scottsdale tourism is also bolstered this month by the magazine coverage.
The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is on the cover of the Top 100 Resorts issue for Robb Report, which has a circulation of more than 100,000 affluent readers.
According to the magazine, “The hike through cactus fields and balanced-rock formations to the top of Pinnacle Peak is a must for every guest at the adjacent Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North.”
Scottsdale also made the cover of Condé Nast Traveler, where The Saguaro resort is featured for inclusion in the magazine’s Hot List – editor’s picks of the world’s best new hotels, restaurants and spas.
The monthly publication, with a circulation of more than 800,000 readers, is designed for the experienced, discerning, frequent traveler.
