Scottsdale Seeks to Fill Board and Commission Vacancies

The City of Scottsdale is accepting applicants to fill vacancies on five advisory bodies – the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Human Relations, Scottsdale Pride and Transportation commissions and the Building Advisory Board of Appeals.

The city is recruiting Scottsdale residents to fill a single three-year term on each advisory body – applications are due March 4.

Applications and more information about the role of each of these advisory boards and commissions are available online at www.scottsdaleaz.gov/boards or by calling the City Clerk’s Office at (480) 312-2412. Applications may also be picked up at Scottsdale City Hall (3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd).

The City Council will select finalists from the pool of applicants on March 22; appointees will be selected after those finalists are interviewed at the April 5 City Council meeting.

More than 200 Scottsdale residents serve on the city’s 28 boards, commissions and committees, providing thousands of hours of volunteer service to the city each year.
