Scottsdale to host redistricting commission meeting Nov. 3

Scottsdale’s Granite Reef Senior Center will be the venue for a meeting of the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC) at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

The Granite Reef center is located at 1700 N. Granite Reef Rd. in Scottsdale, just north of McDowell Road.

According to the IRC, the commissioners hope Arizonans will attend a hearing near them to offer comments the panel can consider before finalizing the draft congressional and legislative district maps. Most of the sessions will be streamed online for folks who cannot attend in person.

To watch the hearings, learn more about redistricting or review what has occurred so far, visit the commission’s website at azredistricting.org.
