Fishing
Fishing is offered only at Chaparral Park, Eldorado Park and Vista del Camino Park. Everyone must follow all regulations established by AZ Game & Fish's
urban fishing program.
Eldorado and Vista Lakes are not stocked, but there are fish present such as carp, catfish and talapia.
Chaparral Lake is stocked by AZ Game & Fish throughout the year. During the cooler months, October to March, the lake is stocked twice each month with trout (11 to 14 inches each--bag limit 4 fish). During the warmer months, April to July and September to October, the lake is stocked twice each month with catfish (1.5 to 2 pounds each--bag limit 4 fish). There are also periodic stockings of sunfish (4 to 9 inches each--bag limit 10 fish) throughout the year. Stockings cease in late July to early September due to excessive temperatures.
