Mission
This section is responsible for managing the collection activity for delinquent utility accounts, sales tax, business/special events/liquor license fees, alarm activations, NSF checks, parking citations, and Tax Audit assessments.  This section also provides collection assistance to any City division that indicates a need for collection expertise.

About Us
Revenue Recovery has a staff of eight employees all dedicated to utilizing all available resources in the collection of delinquent accounts due to the City. Revenue Recovery reviews and prioritizes items for collection in order to maintain a cost effective section that ensures every reasonable effort is made to collect delinquent monies owed. Primary methods of collection include mailing notices or statements to customers notifying them of the delinquency, telephone contact, turning water off, filing liens, criminal complaints, and the use of an outside collection agency.  Revenue Recovery also files complaints through the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control, the Arizona Registrar of Contractors Office, the Maricopa County Attorney General’s Office, and the Arizona Secretary of State's Office as a collection tool.  Revenue Recovery receives over 44,000 calls annually.
