Dial-A-Ride Travel Tips
Have exact change ready. Use cash or East Valley Dial-A-Ride tickets only. Drivers do NOT carry change.
Call at least 45 minutes before you would like to be picked up for same day service, but be ready when you call, a vehicle may be close to your neighborhood.
Allow plenty of time to get to and from your destination. Dial-A-Ride vehicles often stop to pick up and drop off other passengers before reaching your destination.
Try to schedule trips during the mid-day to avoid delays. Tuesdays, Thursdays and the first five working days of the month are the busiest travel days.
When possible, avoid travel during peak hours: between 7:00 am and 9:00 am and between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm on weekdays.
Call and cancel your trip if you cannot make it.
Bring no more than four shopping bags or packages.
Drivers cannot enter a passenger's residence for any reason. They may help carry packages or assist passengers to the door only.
Do not tip.
Do not smoke, eat or drink on Dial-a-Ride vehicles. Drinking water containers are permitted during summer months.
