We’re looking for passionate individuals eager to showcase Scottsdale. As an Ambassador, you’ll be the go-to person for visitors in Old Town Scottsdale, offering insights on getting around and must-see spots. Your commitment is key to the success of our program, and we value the time and energy you bring to creating memorable experiences for our visitors.
Staffing Opportunities
Help us welcome visitors by staffing information carts in Old Town from October through May. Commit to at least 30 hours a year. Volunteer roles include:
- Cart Shifts
- 2-3 hour shifts between 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (Historic Old Town) or 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. (5th Avenue).
- Roving
- Walk around Old Town, assisting visitors and meeting local merchants.
- Special Events
- Support major events like Spring Training, Western Week, Scottsdazzle and a variety of other events.
- Stocking
- Deliver supplies to carts & kiosks once a month.
- Farmers Market
- Host an info booth on Saturday mornings.
- Walking Tours
- Lead guided walking tours. (training provided)
Training & Recognition
As an Ambassador, you'll receive a uniform and name badge to help visitors recognize you. A background check is required for all volunteers. Your first shifts will be guided by a seasoned Ambassador, and you'll always work with a partner. Each fall, a mandatory orientation covers the latest updates in Old Town, and weekly emails keep you informed about events and changes. Additional training sessions are available throughout the season. In the spring, we celebrate your contributions with a special recognition event to honor your efforts.
