The Scottsdale Xeriscape Garden at Chaparral Park provides an educational resource where growing regionally appropriate plants also grows public awareness. The garden, which is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat, conceals a buried six million gallon reservoir from the adjacent Chaparral Water Treatment Plant and showcases over 7,000 Arizona-friendly plants and 200 plant species.

Hidden from the street, this expansive six acre xeriscape garden is nestled behind the dog park and baseball fields. Parking is off Hayden, just south of McDonald, next to the dog park. Paths to the garden are located next to the dog park and between the softball fields just behind the restrooms.
