During the week of the WM Phoenix Open, the City of Scottsdale welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors to the area. Scottsdale Police maintained excellent service levels in all parts of the city, including the entertainment district that saw record numbers of fans.

In 2024, there was a relatively smaller number of patrons on days that were affected by adverse weather. Less patrons typically can coincide with reduced enforcement numbers. Most of the arrest totals occurred on Friday and Saturday when the weather and previous any day ticketing accounted for a large influx of attendees.
In 2025, weather and the elimination of any day ticketing allowed for consistent and expected attendance throughout the event. As part of the overall stakeholder planning for the 2025 event, a concerted effort was placed on identifying and addressing behavior that both fell outside an appropriate level of conduct for the event and outside the law. As anticipated, most arrest totals occurred on our traditionally busier days, which are Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
