On December 10, 2024, Scottsdale Police arrested 31-year-old George Keith Mosley for multiple counts of child sex trafficking charges stemming from a fraud investigation.
In July 2024, members of the Scottsdale Police Department were called to a hotel to investigate a fraud involving George Mosley. While officers were conducting surveillance operations at the hotel, they observed Mosley departing the premises in the company of a teenage female. Acting promptly, police contacted Mosley, who was subsequently arrested for the fraud investigation. While speaking with the female who was accompanying Mosley, officers discovered the female was a missing juvenile from out of state. Mosley was booked and released for credit card fraud. Detectives were notified and helped facilitate the juvenile's reunion with her family.
Finding Mosley with the juvenile female prompted further investigation, leading to the uncovering of evidence indicative of potential human trafficking activities. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Scottsdale Police Department’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit was promptly engaged to spearhead a specialized investigation into these findings.
Through thorough investigative efforts, it was revealed that Mosely had been engaged in the sex trafficking of the juvenile female in multiple states. Once probable cause was established for child sex trafficking, Mosley was apprehended by members of the Scottsdale Police Special Assignments Unit on December 10, 2024. A search warrant was executed at his temporary residence, resulting in the collection of substantial additional evidence.
Mosely was booked into Maricopa County Jail for a total of 20 felony counts of various Child Sex Trafficking charges, Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Illegal Enterprise, and Money Laundering charges with a juvenile victim.
