Sunny days, cool evenings and some of the biggest events in the country make Scottsdale the place to be this time of year.
Mark your calendars for these exciting events taking place in January and February.
Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction | Jan. 18 - 26
The annual auction at WestWorld is one of the largest in the world and showcases rare, vintage and exotic vehicles.
But you don’t have to be a bidder to partake in the festivities.
Guests can enjoy a Thrill Ride or Hot Lap with a professional driver in one of the latest models from Dodge, Toyota and Ford, or get behind the wheel themselves in a new vehicle from Cadillac or Dodge. The auction also includes an exhibitor marketplace, live music, food and beverage options.
Plus, the second annual Rock the Block concert with Sammy Hagar and Friends will take place Friday, Jan. 17.

Western Week | Jan. 25 - Feb. 2
Saddle up in Old Town Scottsdale for Western Week.
On Friday, Jan. 31 the Pony Express will make its way to Old Town Scottsdale. As part of this annual tradition, beloved riders and their horses from the town of Holbrook will travel to Scottsdale and deliver pen pal letters written by and to school-aged children around the state. The Pony Express is made up of over 20 riders from the Navajo County Sherriff's Posse.
The headline event, the Parada del Sol Historic Parade, rides into town Feb. 1, featuring more than 100 colorful floats, mounted riders, horse-drawn carriages, school marching bands and more.
The parade is immediately followed by the Trail’s End Festival, with live music, food and fun, including free entry to Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.
The Arizona Indian Festival also takes place Feb. 1 and 2. This cultural celebration is hosted by and honoring Arizona’s Indian community, which features an array of traditional arts and crafts, entertainment, and foods.

The Greatest Show on Grass returns to Scottsdale in early February.

This year’s concert will feature performances from Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani on TPC Scottsdale’s iconic 16th hole.

- WM Phoenix Open golf tournament | Feb. 3 - 9
Entry to the WM Phoenix Open is free Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 3-4, during the tournament’s practice rounds. General admission single-day tickets are $75 for the Annexus Pro-Am on Wednesday, Feb. 5 and the first and final rounds of the tournament on Thursday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 9. On Friday and Saturday, Feb. 7-8, general admission tickets are $125.

TPC Scottsdale, a city-owned golf course, has been the host of the Phoenix Open since 1987. The event, put on each year by Thunderbirds Charities, attracts hundreds of thousands of fans to Scottsdale and raises millions for local non-profit service organizations.

Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show | Feb. 13-23
The show is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and showcases the top owners, trainers and breeders from around the world.
The event has grown from 50 horses to nearly 2,000. It’s now the largest show of its kind in the world.

Spring Training at Scottsdale Stadium | Feb. 22 - March 22
Scottsdale Stadium is the spring training home of the San Francisco Giants and offers a game experience like no other.
The stadium is nestled in the heart of historic Old Town Scottsdale and surrounded by art galleries, restaurants and boutique shops. The city is finishing upgrades to Scottsdale Stadium to enhance the fan experience this year, including renovation and reconstruction of the park’s left-field berm adds patio space, more shade and more grass seating. The area will also feature multiple concessions, standing areas and additional restrooms.
The city also plans to open Scottsdale Stadium to the public on non-game days with a new, mixed-use day park scheduled to open in April 2025.
