Scottsdazzle, the city’s monthlong winter celebration, is underway - here are just a few events happening this weekend:

Sparkle & Spin Scavenger Hunts. Discover Old Town in a whole new way! Led by a city of Scottsdale police detective, this holiday head-scratcher invites guests to hop on their bikes and spin around Old Town for a seasonal scavenger hunt. Puzzles and riddles lead participants from clue to clue, culminating in one final challenge to earn a unique holiday keepsake. Participants are encouraged to level up the festive fun by decorating their bikes and dressing in their best (or worst) holiday attire.

  • 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at Marshall Way Bridge, 7124 E. Stetson Drive
  • Cost is $18 per person

Holly Jolly Cork Crafting. Let’s get corking! LDV Winery’s Tasting Room in Old Town Scottsdale will transform into Santa’s Corking Workshop. Guests will create a cork craft (ornaments, Christmas tree, wreaths, etc.) while enjoying a glass of wine and snacks. No expertise is needed. LDV provides instructions, basic supplies, corks and a place to have fun. Grab your family or a group of friends to make some decorations or gifts this holiday season.

  • 10:30-11:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at 7134 E. Stetson Drive #110
  • Cost is $45 per person

Scottsdazzle Stroll.Wander through Old Town Scottsdale’s own winter wonderland and stroll to the beat of local musicians! Get enveloped in the spirit of the season while meandering along the canal banks of the Scottsdale Waterfront, which is illuminated with holiday lights and decor. Stop by the stunning 36-foot Scottsdazzle tree for a selfie or a family photo, enjoy live entertainment and warm up with hot cocoa, coffee and sweet seasonal treats.

  • 6-9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21 at 7135 E. Camelback Road

THINGS TO DO

Holiday Lights at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. Enjoy a captivating train ride through enchanting light displays, carousel rides, miniature golf and more at the annual Holiday Lights event.

This event runs through Dec. 30. Tickets are $15 or $10 for select weekdays during the 8 p.m. timeslot.

Scottsdale’s Neighborhood Advisory Commission wants to showcase those who embody the “Spirit of Scottsdale.” This yearly award program recognizes residents and organizations/businesses that help to strengthen and build Scottsdale’s community through their commitment to and involvement in neighborhoods.
