Online Payment for User Fees

Scottsdale Airport requires payments for your airport custom user fees online and in advance of your arrival.

Once you contact U.S. Customs and Border Protection for your appointment, make your payment through the below link on this webpage.

This will save you time and be more convenient! Once you clear customs, you can be on your way. Not to mention, it also saves staff processing time and paper.

Requesting a Refund

To request a refund for a canceled flight or an overpayment, please collect the following information and click here.

  1. Tail number
  2. Date flight was scheduled
  3. Date of original payment
  4. Credit card type
  5. Last 4 digits of the card number
  6. Invoice number (if you have it) 

U.S. Customs Hours

Scottsdale Airport offers U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) service from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily for both business and leisure travelers.

After-Hour Appointments

Appointments outside of office hours may be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week; requests outside of office hours are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are based on officer availability. Requesting Landing Rights at Scottsdale Airport

U.S. Customs and Border Protection services has announced some slight changes to the amount of time necessary to request landing rights.

US-Visit Service Available

The US-VISIT Service is now available at Scottsdale Airport. This service features advanced biometric identification techniques that will allow visitors from all over the world to fly in and out of Scottsdale, provided they have the proper visas.

US Customs and Border Protection service is available at Scottsdale Airport as a User Fee Service. The fees for using the service are as follows:

Light Jet (Up to 18,000 lbs)$350.00/use
Mid-Size Jet (18,001 to 35,000 lbs)$600.00/use

International Travel Requirements

Beginning on Jan. 23, 2007, all persons - including U.S. citizens-traveling by air from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda will be required to have a "Valid and Unexpired" Passport (unless traveling with a Permanent Resident Card, asylee or document, Merchant Mariner's document or NEXUS Air Card) to enter the Refugee Document or NEXUS Air Card to enter the United States.

The following forms must be submitted to obtain over flight privileges: Forms 442 and 442a. These must be filled out and signed. ALL direct flights from Mexico require an approved Over flight letter on file. Forms can be found at www.cbp.gov.

Scottsdale Airport Requires notice by 2 p.m. (local time) of the previous business day prior to the intended day of arrival for ALL International Travel.

How to obtain a decal

Private aircraft arriving from foreign areas must have a valid Customs Decal. The Decal must be placed within 18 inches of the normal boarding area; the Decal must be visible when the doors are open.

Complete the Annual Decal Request Form 339a online at Customs & Border Patrol and follow instructions for payment and receipt of Decal.

Pilot Program for GA Private Flyers Requesting Landing Rights at Port of Phoenix, AZ

Landing rights requests must be received by CBP at the intended port of arrival by 2 p.m. (Phoenix time) of the previous business day prior to intended day of arrival.  Landing rights requests (time of arrival) should fall within the normal operating hours of the CBP port responding to the request (i.e. Phoenix Sky Harbor International, Scottsdale and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airports). Requests for landing rights not within normal operating hours will be considered on a limited, case-by-case basis. Changes to the tail number, crew or passengers of an approved landing rights request may only be made with CBP approval. Change requests must be accompanied by a new eAPIS filing and submitted to CBP at the intended port of arrival during normal operating hours and four business hours prior to arrival.
