Jan Dubauskas began her term on the Scottsdale City Council in January 2025.
Jan is a lawyer, wife, and mother who has lived in Arizona since 1998 and in Scottsdale for more than 10 years.
Jan is a licensed attorney and has been practicing law for nearly 20 years. She served as general counsel and chief operating officer for a health insurance carrier operating in all 50 states and regularly appeared on national cable news as an expert on health insurance issues. Prior to that, she served as director of compliance for a life insurance company based in Phoenix, Arizona. Jan has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon and a Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.
She is a proud graduate of the Scottsdale Citizen’s Government Academy (2023), the Scottsdale Citizen’s Water Academy (2023), and the Scottsdale Police Department Citizen’s Academy (2024). She has been a precinct committeeman in her political party since 2021 and was awarded Outstanding Precinct Committeeman in 2022 and 2023.
Jan and her husband, Jon, have a blended family of five children ranging in age from 27 - 7 years old. Their two youngest daughters attend Scottsdale Unified School District. Jan lives in DC Ranch with her family.
