Christmas Tree Recycling
Beginning Friday, Dec. 27, 2024 and ending Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, Scottsdale Solid Waste Services is offering two ways for you to dispose of your unwanted live Christmas trees or wreaths.
Only real, untreated Christmas trees or wreaths (unwired) are accepted for composting, conserving landfill space.
We do not accept artificial trees, stands, ornaments, lights, or storage bags. Don't leave these items at drop-off points.
Option #1:
City of Scottsdale will provide roll-off containers that are yellow in color and labeled for your disposal convenience.
Dropping them off at 1 of the 7 following locations:
- Cactus Park: 7202 E. Cactus Road
- Chapparal: 5401 N. Hayden Road
- Eldorado Park: 2301 N. Miller Road
- Horizon Park: 15444 N. 100th St.
- Scottsdale Ranch Park: 10400 E. Via Linda
- Scottsdale Sports Complex: 8081 E. Princess Drive
- Thompson Peak Park: 20199 N. 78th Pl.
Option #2:
Single-family home residents can place Christmas trees in their green waste pile, separate from your bulk trash, for collection in your scheduled Brush/Bulk service week.
