To support the new Laboratory Building, the existing visitor parking will be enhanced to include additional spaces and a second entrance off Hualapai Drive. Landscaping will be consistent with the existing desert landscape and compliant with Scottsdale Landscape ordinance.

The current laboratory was built in 1997 and is very outdated and too small. Improvements in water quality testing require new tests and equipment, more testing staff, and additional reporting which the new lab will facilitate.
