Sep 9, 2024
Description:

The City of Scottsdale, as sponsor of Scottsdale Airport, intends to rehabilitate a portion of the airport pavement in front of Aircraft Access Gate 1 and a 300-foot-long portion of the bypass taxilane in front of the Airport Operations Building. Drainage Improvements will be implemented in the Airport Operations Building’s parking lot. The Scottsdale Airport is located within a 500-year floodplain. The affected floodplain’s beneficial values include flood water storage and conveyance.

Since the city is seeking Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funding and approval of federal actions occurring in a 500-year floodplain, a public notice and opportunity for comment is being provided. The public may submit comments on the proposed project and their potential effects on the 500-year floodplain for a period of 30 days following the publication of this notice. You may obtain more information or send comments to Kelli Kuester, Aviation Planning & Outreach Coordinator at 480-312-8482 or email. FAA will consider all comments received during the 30-day comment period before making an environmental determination.

Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, be advised that your entire comment-including your personal identifying information-may be made publicly available.
